The Love of the Father for His Son:
God the Father outwardly pronounced the love He had for His Son, Jesus, on more than one occasion. In Matthew 3:17, you hear Him verbally declare, "This is My Beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased." In John 17:11, it talks about the closeness that Jesus shared with His Father: "Holy Father, keep them in Your Name, which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are one."
The Father Himself Loves You with the Same Love He Has for Jesus:
Did you ever stop to think about the great love that God has for you as His daughter? Not only did He create you in His own image, but He also loves you with the same intensity of love that He loves His own Son, Jesus, with! Don't believe me? Believe in the truth of His Word. Check out John 17:26 which says, "I made known to them Your Name and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which You have loved Me may be in them, and I in them."
"The love with which You have loved Me...."
What did God speak over Jesus at His baptism? He called Him "beloved." He said He was well-pleased in Him.
What does He speak over you?
"The love with which You have loved Me...."
The intensity of love that the Father has for you matches the intensity of love that He has for His Son.
Wow! I don't know about you, but my mind is blown by that beautiful truth in Scripture!
In John 17:26-27 Jesus says, "In that day you will ask in My Name, and I do not say to you that I will ask the Father on your behalf; for the Father Himself loves you because you have loved Me an have believed that I came from God."
The Father Himself loves you! That is something to celebrate about!
The Father's Love is Personal:
"But," you might ask, "Doesn't God love me because He "has" to? Aren't I just a face in the crowd to Him?"
As much as it can FEEL that way sometimes, that is not the TRUTH. The truth is that God's love is personal. Whenever you start to feel insignificant in vastness of the world and as if there is no way God could possibly see you, (let alone take notice of you), remember Matthew 10:29 that says, "What is the price of two sparrows--one copper coin?"
Jesus is saying that sparrows are pretty insignificant to people and to the world's economy. They are easily overlooked and passed by. But even though they are insignificant to people, they are important to the One who created them. Jesus continues, "But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it."
Did you catch that? He says, "Not a single sparrow." One can't accidentally slip by His notice. This means that you can't slip by His notice either. You may feel insignificant, but you aren't!
The Father's Love is Intimately Acquainted with All Your Ways:
Jesus continues with such a beautiful promise for you to hold onto and tuck inside your heart when feelings of comparison or insecurity from the enemy try to settle in and tempt your heart to believe a lie: "And even the hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."
Jesus just said that, even though the sparrows are insignificant to those in the world, the Father, (who is so big), still has time to notice the smallest and seemingly "lowest" parts of His creation and their daily lives. He feeds them. He knows when they die. He's intimately involved with the creation He has made...including you!
But His love for you goes far beyond just noticing you. He has counted and numbered the amount of hairs on your head! Even if it has not been your personal experience, think about the tender love which a mother stares at her newborn baby or even think about how you can't stop staring and watching every move a puppy makes. You feel like you could gaze into their little face all day long! You ooh and ahh over their tiny fingers and eyelashes, or that cute face and puppy breath.
God didn't just make you...He sees you. He knows you. He loves you. He is intimately acquainted with all your ways. He knows when you sit and when you rise. He perceives your thoughts from afar. (Psalm 139:2).
The Father Thinks About You a LOT:
Psalm 139:17-18 elaborates even more and says, "How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand..."
Did you catch that? It says, "How precious also are Your thoughts TO ME." How can you know God sees you, knows you, and loves you? He loves you enough to count the number of hairs on your head. He has so much attention on you every day that He knows when you sit down and when you rise. He perceives and understands even your thoughts from afar.
His own thoughts towards you, if put alongside all the grains of sand in the world, would outnumber the sand, which means He thinks about you A LOT! Ever see someone so crazy in love with someone that they can't stop thinking about them?
Are you starting to see the overwhelming, personal love that God has for you? I hope you are, because, no matter how you have been treated by others, not matter what you feel or think about yourself, God's Word is truth and He says that you are loved personally and immensely!
Jesus and The Holy Spirit Loves You with the Same Love as the Father:
John 14:21 says, "Whoever has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him..."
The great love that The Father has for you, Jesus mirrors that same love for you. The Father's love was so great for you that He sent Jesus to die for you (John 3:16). But Jesus' love for you is also so great that He willingly laid down His life for you (John 10:18).
The Holy Spirit loves you in the same way as well! Because God the Father, Jesus and Son and The Holy Spirit are a triune Godhead (they are both equally God, yet three separate persons), you can know that they love you in the same way the other does. Need further proof?
Consider Jesus' words in John 15:9: "As The Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Now remain in My love." The fruit of The Spirit is love (Galatians 5:22) and the Bible says that God IS love (1 John 4:16).
John 17:22-23 also says, "...that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one....and (You) have loved them AS You have loved Me."
Embrace the Deep, Abiding Love that God has for You:
You are so very loved.
You are seen.
You are significant to God.
God is intimately acquainted with all your ways.
God loves you the same way He loves Jesus.
The Holy Spirit loves you as The Father and Jesus do.
God's love for you is personal.
No matter how you feel, God's Word says you matter to Him.
And that is something to celebrate about, beloved daughter of The King!
